Steam Early Access — Live Since July 23, 2026

Carnival Hunt is officially in Steam Early Access as of July 23, 2026. Beer Night Studio and Crytivo unlocked the premium build at 8:00 AM PT / 11:00 AM ET / 5:00 PM CEST per the Steam news post "Carnival Hunt Early Access Launch Details." The store lists the game at $19.99 USD with a limited-time 10% launch discount through August 6, 2026 ($17.99)—verify live pricing on app ID 1181550 before the window closes.

The July 23 build is a complete core loop, not a vertical slice: queue full 5v1 matches on the procedural carnival map, pick either Early Access Hunter, spend candy at Jack's slot machine, and climb all four floors as a Bunny squad. Steam copy confirms core mechanics are implemented; EA focuses on content variety, balance, polish, and bug fixes over the next 12–18 months.

New players joining launch week should start with our launch rewards page for the three-day cosmetic, then read wind-up keys and map landmarks before your first pub queue.

What You Can Play Today

Confirmed live content: two Hunters (including the Magician on our Magician guide), one procedural map built from 32 modular rooms with rotating layouts between matches, wind-up keys, play dead, eight items, Jack's slot machine, and lobby gear customization with active, passive, and skill puppet upgrades—see gears.

Each match stitches modular blocks differently, so landmark callouts from our carnival map page matter more than memorizing a single static layout. Bunny teams that share winding discipline and slot machine timing reach floor four consistently; Monsters that practice Teleport cancels from the Magician guide win more chases on day two than raw aim alone.

The second EA Hunter offers an alternate kit documented on the second monster page. Future Hunters, map variants, and PvE modes are roadmap targets—not missing at launch, but scheduled for monthly EA drops per Steam community posts.

EA Update Cadence — Official Targets

Beer Night Studio published development targets on Steam (not fixed promises): roughly 1–3 new gear upgrades per month, 1–4 new modular rooms per month depending on complexity, one new Hunter every 3–6 months (with the goal of shortening that interval), and new PvE experiences every 1–2 months. Balance, stability, and fair 5v1 competition remain the top priority over raw content volume.

Expect hotfixes during launch week for crash reports, slot machine tuning, and Magician cooldown edge cases. Report reproducible bugs on Steam discussions with floor number, Hunter type, items held, and build version—see community channels.

Full timeline context lives on our Early Access roadmap. Price may increase as content grows closer to 1.0; buying during launch week secures the discount and the three-day cosmetic if you play before July 26 regional reset.

Launch Week Tips (July 23–27, 2026)

Day-one and day-two lobbies mix experienced asymmetric horror veterans with first-time Bunnies. Share wiki links in Discord instead of coaching mid-match—start with Bunny basics, play dead, and controls for microphone push-to-talk.

Watch the featured GameTrailers embed above or browse our videos hub for IGN Live and gameplay preview IDs. Creator coverage spikes during launch week; official trailers remain the safest embed sources for streams.

After five to ten matches, revisit tier list and gear builds with your own data. Early Access patches can shift balance within days—check page timestamps on this wiki after each Steam news drop.

Early Access Day 18 — August 9, 2026 Status

As of August 9, 2026, Carnival Hunt has received four major patch updates since the July 23 launch. The August 9 Early Access Path Note №3 delivered the most significant quality-of-life overhaul: a redesigned Awakening screen showing room selection, player connection status, and scrollable tips; gray highlight overlays on interactive objects; shortcut rope icons visible at distance; and final gate highlights persisting after opening for both Hunter and Bunnies.

The new Hunter Rage mechanic prevents stun-chain abuse: repeated stuns trigger 15 seconds of stun immunity, shifting Bunny item priorities away from pure CC stacking. Party scaling now benefits Hunters with reduced charge consumption, increased XP, and bonus traps based on party size.

Bunny-side improvements include visible teammate madness levels, standing up from falls without charge or shock, and an audio notification when a player hits the madness cap. Korean and Japanese localization are now live, with server connection timeouts extended to 60 seconds.

The August 2 Patch Note №4 hotfix addressed Small Gate collision, Sisters chase music, cannon-to-mannequin crash, room generation, mannequin repair mechanics, Circus 4F minor fixes, collision across multiple areas, Bunny fall-out-of-world panic, Hunter task exploits, mannequin break-on-release, inventory item binding in key settings, and black screen on start.

Server regions (Central EU, East US, North-East Asia) are now selectable beside the Play button. The 10% launch discount window has closed; the current price is $19.99 USD. See patch notes for the full changelog and status effects for updated debuff definitions.
